For today’s Procreate tutorial, I wanted to look at a new way to create agate slices across the whole canvas using a technique that is different from what I have shown before, with my Painterly brushes and both the smudge and liquify tools. If you don’t have the Painterly brushes, you’re welcome to try this technique with any other brushes that you have and you may get some fun results from experimentation!

While creating this piece, I really enjoyed watching the colors smear around to make the agate slices magically appear under the brush. I really also enjoyed zipping them together in an organic looking way using the liquify tool. Sometimes simple art is the most satisfying!
