In today’s tutorial we are creating a digital acrylic pour rainbow effect, with colorful trails rising up onto a dark canvas and delicate cells emerging. We create this effect using only three brushes from my Acrylic Pour brush set, starting with Fluid Pour 2 to add the colors fairly randomly to the bottom of the canvas.
Next we use Swipe with cells 1 to sweep the colors upwards from the bottom of the canvas, which creates cells that show the background color (black). Next we take the same brush in the opposite direction, to create colorful cells emerging from the paint trails instead. We add a few more cells with our Dynamic Cells 3 brush, before finishing off using liquify/expand to accentuate a few of the cells.
Specific brushes used:
- Fluid Pour 2
- Swipe with Cells 4
- Dynamic Cells 3
Canvas size: 3000 x 2000 pixels.
